We provide clear information, foster dialogue, and elevate local stories to reduce misinformation and normalize support for building more housing. • Host an annual Housing Solutions Conference • Expand Community Dialogue events • Maintain and grow Housing Now social media + web presence • Develop and launch a YIMBY Toolkit • Produce “How Housing Works Here” explainers and storytelling series • Produce “Faces of Housing Need” profiles to humanize the issue

Strong housing strategies begin with shared facts. Housing Now collects, analyzes, and shares timely data on housing supply, affordability, and project activity to guide smart local decisions. • Update the Target Market Analysis (TMA) to head into 2027  • Map out affordability thresholds on a subcounty level to better understand market dynamics in individual communities  • Produce Quarterly Housing Market Snapshots  • Maintain a countywide Project Pipeline Dashboard/Map

Housing cannot be built without a strong construction workforce. We support partners working to strengthen the skilled trades pipeline and ensure Marquette County has the talent needed to meet housing demand. Our focus here is on supporting the incredible work being done by our career tech partners to ensure their pipelines of students remain full and that work remains available to keep them in our region.

Local and small-scale developers are critical to expanding housing supply. Housing Now helps cultivate the next generation of locally invested developers through training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. • Maintain Emerging Developer Meetups & Events • Launch Emerging Developer Training & Mentorship Program

Meeting today’s housing needs requires creative thinking and new approaches. We explore and promote innovative housing models, development tools, and policies that can expand options and reduce costs across the county. Under this focus area, we commit to sharing information on emerging housing types, models, building techniques, financing structures, and more to push the envelope on what’s possible. In particular, a small group is exploring the feasibility of Community Land Trust models as a way of preserving affordability into the longer-term.
