Community Dialogues Series
Housing is a complex issue and requires all of us doing our part to learn more about how housing works, from how it is built and how financial tools change the equation and to combating myths about housing density and cost. To help better understand housing issues, Housing Now aims to hold quarterly educational sessions we call Community Dialogues. We call them dialogues because they aren't just lectures - they're opportunities for learning and connecting.

For 2026, you can expect to learn the what, where, how, and when of housing needs and processes in Marquette County. In past sessions, we've talked zoning, permitting, and data. Sessions commonly happen once a quarter, subject to changes based on availability of speakers and venues.

Interested in sponsoring? We're always accepting session sponsors to help keep these events free for attendees. $500 sponsorship includes pre- and post-event marketing and an opportunity to provide brief comments and materials at the event. We accept up to two sponsors per event.

April 22 @ 11:00am | Demystifying the Affordable Housing Process
Getting affordable housing built is one of the most complex challenges in community development — and one of the most important. This Community Dialogues session breaks down the full journey from ideation to occupancy, including the financial tools, regulatory hurdles, and community dynamics that shape every project. Two experts will walk attendees through real affordable housing developments and take live questions. This event is part of Housing Now's ongoing Community Dialogues series, bringing Marquette County residents, partners, and decision-makers together around the issues that shape our housing future.
